SUMMER ACTIVITIES.

As I have just taken all my GCSE's (fingers crossed they went okay) and finished year 11 I have a super long summer this year. Instead of just six weeks I will have eleven weeks, so that is eleven weeks to fill with activities to keep myself entertained, so I have written my self a summer bucket list. So far I will have already had four weeks and they have been fantastic. I love trying out new things so I hope I can complete my list! Here is my list:

Learn a new piano piece! I can't play too many at the minute as I haven't been learning for that long, but I am challenging myself with Skyfall.
Work on my photography. I have had a DSLR camera for a little over a year and a half but haven't got round to practicing taking carefully positioned, closeup photographs, but now that I have time on my hands, I can.
• Set up a shop. I have been wanting to do this for the longest time but due to mounds of school work since year nine I have never got the chance.
• Blog. As you can see this one is already complete. I have had a blog before but never got round to using it so I decided to create this one instead for a fresh start.
• Go for a picnic. I haven't been on a picnic for absolutely ages, but my birthday is in a couple of days so I am taking it as the perfect opportunity.
• Document something in video form. I really want to produce an artsy movie so I am going to aim to do that this summer.
• Clean my room. This one is a little strange but my room is a disaster, I can barely move across my floor so it needs a good clean.
• Chop off my hair, not too much, but quite a bit. This one is also complete. I cut my hair on Monday!
• Learn how to bake meringue. I love meringue but have never made it. I have already challenged myself with macaroons, so meringue is next.
• Read five books. I am not the fastest of readers but I love to read. Whilst my exams were on I didn't read that much but now my exams are over I can read as much as I want.

Do you have anything planned for the summer?

10 FACTS ABOUT ME.

What is the point in me blogging if you don't know anything about me, the blogger, myself? Today I decided I would share ten facts about me. So, here we go -

1) I, oddly, only like Lidnt Lindor chocolate, (and a few others), anything else makes my throat burn and makes me feel sick.

2) Pasta is my favourite food. I genuinely think I could eat it all day, every day. I love so many different sauces its hard to choose what to have when I go out for a meal.

 3) I am a bit of a history fanatic. It interests me so much and I can't stop looking into events in the recent past or very incredibly old.

4) I'm NOT in any way a savvy shopper. I don't buy cheap clothes, unless I'm in a vintage shop where things are slightly cheaper. Firstly, the more expensive shops treat their workers better, and they have better quality clothes, which means I don't have to spend money on clothes as frequently.

5) I have scoliosis, which if you don't know what it is, is a bending of the spine.

6) I am an avid book reader. I love reading any type of book and could sit for hours and hours reading. I have so much on my reading list!

7) I love scrapbooking, but am terrible at keeping my scrapbook up to date. I can never find the time to sit down to actually do it, but it makes me so happy to document my life in way which I can look back on when I'm all wrinkly.

8) I still have no idea what I want to read at university, but cannot wait to go. I'll finally be focused on something I love.

9) I love fashion, it's so lovely to be able to show yourself through the clothes you wear. My current style is something I am finally in love with.

10) Pandas are my favourite animal. They are so adorable. When I went to Edinburgh on holiday my family didn't realise that you had to book to see the pandas, so I still haven't seen a real life panda.

That's it, 10 facts about me. I think these facts are somewhat interesting, and I hope you do too. See you on Wednesday!!

HELLO!

Hello and welcome to Ivy Drop, my own little internet site. Ivy Drop is written be me, a fifteen, soon to be sixteen year old girl, from the UK. I am an avid book reader, passionate tea drinker, a huge candle burner and ticket hoarder.

Here on Ivy Drop I aim to post at least once per week, with a range of different posts. I love fashion, photography and design so hopefully they will appear regularly on here. I also aim to document my life and all the places I travel too, along with posting the occasional chatty post.

That is all I have to say other than I hope you stick with me and my little blog, stay tuned for my first "actual" post on Wednesday.

Bye, and thanks for stopping by!
